WeAct

We Act is an advocacy focused programme whose primary aim is to increase the level of political will to facilitate structured debate and dialogue; based on research conducted or commissioned by WPF, amongst stakeholders from across the country/region on issues related to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of youth in Pakistan. The need for greater political commitment is eminent now than ever before to ensure that young people’s rights to access integrated SRHR information and services receive due acknowledgement and an enabling environment is ensured where they can freely exercise their rights with a positive attitude.

Different advocacy initiatives under this Programme are fashioned as follows:

• International/National Conferences/Forums on SRHR themes, especially on youth related issues such as Mainstreaming Life Skills in development initiatives, Integration of SRHR and HIV/AIDS, Gender Based Violence, Sexual Exploitation, Safe abortions etc.
  
• Supports seminars on community level addressing youth SRHR to foster Life Skills friendly communities.
  
• Builds and strengthens Support Groups (intelligentsia, NGOs, parents, teachers, media etc.) for promotion of Life Skills friendly policies and institutions at national/provincial/districts levels.
  
• Youth Advocacy Programme: Strengthens youth groups to act as self advocates in policy reforms, governance and play the role of watch dogs of SRHR programmes and resources in Pakistan.
